Apply what you have learnt so far and the adrenaline bomb will be within your grasp! Jumps very quickly increase from here on in - if jumping is not your thing don't worry there is plenty to see, smaller jumps and games to play.
The Vast Sea Cave of Watcombe Head can only be accessed on one of these tours, it has three entrances which vary according to the tide. The acoustics in here are fantastic for a sea shanty and if you sing the song of the Crackin a huge Conger Eel may appear- this cave is known to locals as Conger's Lair.
Rock solid is one of the top things to do in Devon! Reviewed as 'Life Changing!' 'The best Coasteering location' & 'The only thing to do while in Devon' on Tripadvisor 100 5* reviews and counting! Click Here>>
The large beach Car park is never full and is reasonably priced, free to Torbay Coast and Countryside trust members. Beyond this lies the beach and my favourite spot The Beach Box Café where great food and ice cream can be bought while you relax and soak in the panoramic sea view. There are BBQs here all afternoon at weekends so bring an appetite!
Bell rock is the incredible but seldom visited feature which provides a fantastic 'swim through' opportunity, the width varies with the tide and when there's swell -ring that bell! Exciting and ancient, this feature lies at the heart of the 'Bad Lands' where smugglers used to rule the waves. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden treasure.
The newly designated village green is an amazing sun trap at the heart of the combe. Looked after by the locals there are benches, a swing, some football posts and toilets in the lower car park- many peaceful hours can be wasted here lying on the soft grass.

Maidencombe lies on the coast of South Devon between the Estuary port of Teignmouth and the Holiday town of Torquay. Accessed by three small lanes it is often missed by exploring tourists remaining relatively quiet, even in the summer months. For such a small place there is a surprisingly vibrant community and rich history which reaches back into prehistory and beyond.
The trips begin with a safety briefing and a chance to get a feel for the water, you will learn how to enter shallow areas safely using the 'captain splash' method - a nice ice breaker and photo opportunity!
The circular walks that lead you along cliff tops, through woods and meadows can be linked and adapted to your energy levels. The cliff top views from the South West coast path will blow your mind. Much of the coasteering route can be viewed so if you don't fancy the adventure but want to spectate - perfect, ask for directions.
There are many reasons that make Maidencombe worth a visit (apart from the awesome Coasteering). The Pub, for starters, has an award winning beer garden and fantastic food, there are rooms available and free parking on the road outside- unusual these days!

The best thing about coasteering here is that there is always something new to find, as the waves wash in and out and the tide ebbs and flows the coastline and it's features present new challenges. Beyond Bell Rock is Pirate's lagoon, take the plunge off one of the many ledges and see how the sand glistens as if made of lost gold. It's a short swim and climb now into Sea Cave territory where the atmosphere hangs heavy and if you are lucky a tale or two may be shared.
The water here is the cleanest in the bay and the beach is litter free due to the hard work of the local marine litter activists. We really take pride in our corner or paradise, come and enjoy it with us!
If you are into Geology you will love this cave and its surrounding cliffs. The Devonian rocks give clues to an ancient past when sea level was much lower and Wooly Rhinos walked the surrounding plains. These caves would have been home to our early ancestors- let your imagination loose while exploring them.
The brave and confident jumpers may be invited to take on 'Underhang Leap' remote and unforgiving this is where your guide's training is key- to get you there safely. We will take photos and videos of the whole adventure for you to take away!
